January Favorites

1. Clarins 'instant smooth perfecting touch' primer- This is the best primer I've ever used. It creates a very velvety soft focus effect and it actually prevents my skin from getting clogged and breaking out. It isn't greasy and doesn't have that overly silicone feel. It also plumps the skin erasing fine lines and it makes my skin look pore-less. Three women have all bought it after I have told them about it and they talk about how much they love it all the time!

2. MAC 'moisture cover'-I don't know why all of a sudden I love this, but I think it's because I tried it all by itself and OMG I love it! It is so weird that it moisturizing and it doesn't settle into lines or make my eyeliner run, but for some reason it works. It is a little on the sheer side so if your circles are severe, but you want something similar I recommend MUFE's 'lift concealer' (which is another personal favorite!)

3. Estee Lauder 'double wear' foundation-The reason I tried this is because the last two people I complimented on their foundation were both wearing this and then I remembered it is also one of Natty's personal favorites, so I got a couple of samples and gave it a go. The first time wearing it was without any primer and I found it a little too matte/doll looking for my taste and after wearing it all day it clogged a couple of pores so I pushed it to the side. I don't know what possesed me to try it again with the Clarins primer that I hadn't worn in ages, but I did and it honestly the best my skin has ever looked! The Clarins primer has transformed this into the most airbrushed looking makeup I have ever seen! Plus...no more clogged pores! =)

4. Lancome 'Hypnose drama' - besides this having such a yummy honey blossom scent it is the only mascara that I get complements on and questions about 'false lashes' with. Definitely a keeper... although my next bottle will be the original because the brush is a little easier to work with (smaller/not curved).

5. Miracle7 'leave in'- I've used this enough now to know that it has done amazing things for my hair! My hair type is fine/wavy/a lot of it. Whenever I use this my hair is so full of body and shine without it being frizzy/poofy or weighed down. It's cheap, smells good, and I can actually get a comb through my hair after spraying it on. This is definitely a must have and it has become a part of my little 'staples' family!

UPDATE: YT/blogger situation

Hi everyone! I just thought I would let everyone know why I took my videos down so you aren't wondering if something bad has happened. Don't worry it isn't anything bad or even mildly interesting lol I am just taking a break so that I can focus more on school and other hobbies! I will continue to blog as it isn't as much maintenance.

YT can be a little tiring when you start to get a bit more subs for obvious reasons..more video requests, more questions to answer and then on top of all of that you get hater comments and people 1 starring your videos for no reason at all. I actually think my next post/video will be on YT advice for people who are thinking of uploading videos =)

V-day nails =)

Valentine's day is still a little ways away, but I LOVE this holiday...EVEN when I had no boyfriend! If you don't have a significant other call up one of your single girlfriends and go out for dinner..hell, buy eachother things.. because to me this is a day of love no matter who it is shared between!

I decided to paint 'Love your life' over 'Coney Island Cotton Candy' because it was so plain on it's own and 'Love your life' is basically clear with glitter by itself.

So 'Love your life' is basically the WORST consistency of a nailpolish I have ever come across...It is hard to explain...when you try to paint your nails with it the goop on the end of the brush just wants to stick to the brush and slide around on your nail instead of adhering to your nail. It has the consistnecy of jelly or jello...so weird! Maybe I got a bad bottle or maybe it needs to be this way because of the hearts and glitter?

The hearts do need to be scooped out of the container which wasn't too big of a deal compared to working with the horrid consistency..although adding a little bit of polish remover somewhat helped it.

Overall, do not expect something super unique or exciting about 'Coney Island Cotton Candy' and as far as 'Love your life'...purchase at your own risk!

OPI: 'Coney Island Cotton Candy' and 'Love Your Life'

I was only supposed to be going to Target for a slice of cheesecake...what?! I was hungry! Anyway, GregoryGorgeous and Lorraine were saying how amazing OPI's 'Coney Island Cotton Candy' was on twitter so I decided to look for and snatch it up at Target!

I also got Nicole by OPI 'Love your life' because honestly, how could I resist something that cute...especially with Valentine's day coming up?!

Now I really have to say that I am not really loving 'Coney Island Cotton Candy' lol It's ummm..the exact same shade of my skin at the moment, but I will be applying a little self tanner tomorrow so I will update you all on twitter! I will also be painting my toes with 'Love your life' tomorrow and will update you all on that as well.
